Forum features - wishes and feedback
So far I've been taking requests from the Facebook group, but I figured it would be easier if we just had a thread here for people to make their requests, also it's a good place for me to keep everyone up to date on any changes implemented.
So today, apart from the obvious creation of the forum, we've added some wonderful whovian emoticons made by Terminus, anyone else who has emoticons they wish to be added, please just let me know and I'll get right on it
We've also implemented a reputation system. At the moment it's set to giving individual posts + or - reputation, and it's limited to just five a day for each member and you cannot begin to hand out reputation until you have made at least five posts. This can be revisited later if there is a need for change.

Re: Forum features - wishes and feedback
Added a "Current Season Discussions" category so that those of us who are up to date on can discuss the current season so far and upcoming episodes of the show, at the end of the season we can move the discussions over to Modern Who and start anew

Is there anyway you can turn off the "watch topic" by default. I'm aware the user can most likely turn it off by default, but I don't the majority desire it on, any new member has it on by default you see. I was surprised to see i had 23 notifications after making only 4 posts.

Trust me, Dan, I have tried (it annoyed me, too, that I kept getting notified and then had to go and turn it off for it to truly stop). I've combed over the Admin control panel in search for a way to turn the default to off rather than on, but I simply cannot find it and for that I am truly sorry.
However, a bit of better news is that I finally got the chatbox sorted out. I've placed it at the bottom of the page so far, but if you guys would like, I can move it to the top, please let me know which you prefer!

Bots are what search engines use in order to make forum posts appear in relevant searches.

Re: Forum features - wishes and feedback
We have a reputation system so people can "like" or "dislike" a post, I could look into and see if it's possible to make it more visible...
We don't have any points system for posting in general, but it could be implemented if this is something that people would like.

The icons by categories and threads seem to be unresponsive, don't know why.
Could just be temporary...

If the forum works, but some of the images doesn't, chances are my domain's server is down, which is where I host the images the forum doesn't want to upload to the right format. When in doubt, check to see if this site loads for you.
